Sushi Kappo is a family owned restaurant located near Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts. The design concept revolves around establishing two distinct zones, the Sushi bar, where food is prepared and the dining ‘beach’ where customers eat. In plan, we use the counter to establish a diagonal line that maximizes the flow of customers and staff. The diagonal counter is formally linked to the exterior seating creating a sense of connection between interior and exterior spaces.
